Primark launches first UK mobile app with click and collect across 189 stores

Primark launched its first customer-facing mobile app in the UK on 9 April 2026, giving British shoppers digital access to the retailer's click and collect service for the first time.

The app, available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store, brings together real-time stock checks, personalised notifications, a favourites function, store information and click and collect integration. It follows the retailer's rollout of equivalent apps in Ireland and Italy last summer.

Kari Rodgers, UK retail director at Primark, said: "We know our customers expect great value and an effortless shopping experience, wherever they are. Our new app puts exactly that in the palm of their hand, from personalised updates on the latest trends to faster, more convenient ways to browse and shop via click and collect."

The app works alongside Primark's click and collect service, which is now available across all 189 of the retailer's stores in England, Scotland and Wales. Shoppers can browse, order and pay online before collecting in store.

Matt Houston, chief customer and digital officer at Primark, said that the company was "excited to bring an even smarter, more connected shopping experience to the UK," adding that customers are "increasingly turning to digital tools that make shopping easier and more rewarding."

The launch reflects a steady expansion of Primark's digital investment, which has also encompassed its website and social media presence. The retailer said it now has more than 25 million followers globally, and that around 25 per cent of visitors to its UK website use the stock check feature.

Primark has historically operated a store-only model with no online sales, making the app and click and collect rollout a notable shift for the value fashion chain. The retailer said the app has been designed to complement rather than replace the in-store experience, preserving what it described as the sense of discovery that draws customers to its shops.
