Dunelm reboots e-commerce offering

Dunelm has worked with Tryzens to overhaul its online store. Chris Shaw, CIO at Dunelm, says: “Between 2012-13, our online store doubled in traffic and transactions. To meet the increased demands placed on our e-commerce platform, we undertook a review of our architecture and ways of working, realising that we needed to overhaul our old system. When selecting our service provider, we wanted a true partnership with a company that could demonstrate an excellent track record in e-commerce retail. Crucially, this involved a focus on ‘Simply Value for Money’, our commitment of quality to our customers. What our customers expect from us, we expect from our partners and providers.”

Tryzens re-platformed the retailer on IBM WebSphere Commerce v7.6, integrating in-house back-end systems and third party providers through IBM Integration Bus (middleware). The platform also includes a bespoke Order Management Solution developed by Tryzens. Also integrated are SAP and PIM systems.
