Asda Money and Everywhen unveil supermarket’s first business insurance offer

Asda Money has partnered with insurance provider Everywhen to launch the supermarket’s first business insurance offering.

Asda said the partnership will deliver solutions tailored to sole traders, start-ups and SMEs across a broad range of sectors.

Everywhen, previously known as Towergate, estimates that around eight per cent of UK adults own and operate their own businesses.

Asda added that the partnership reflects a growing trend of mainstream brands moving into the SME insurance market, providing greater accessibility and choice for business owners seeking cover.

“This collaboration will provide Asda Money customers with access to a comprehensive range of commercial insurance products, tailored to support a wide spectrum of UK businesses,” said Everywhen trading director David Wood. “From tradespeople and accountants to retailers and manufacturers, and everything in between, our insurance solutions are designed to meet the unique needs of modern businesses, whether you’re just starting out or scaling up.

“In combining Asda’s trusted brand with our specialist expertise, we can ensure business owners have access to the protection they need in a way that’s accessible and straightforward.”

Earlier this month, Asda announced it is rolling out electronic shelf labels (ESL) across 250 UK Express stores.

Implemented through a partnership with digital commerce company VusionGroup, the British grocery retailer said the new technology aims to improve shelf availability while simplifying operations for employees.

The technology also aims to enhance the customer experience by providing allergen information at the shelf edge through QR codes, in addition to displaying the cost, weight and unit price of products.
