Asda rolls out Evri’s ParcelShop service ahead of Christmas peak

Asda has announced a new partnership that will see Evri’s ParcelShop service rolled out across all of its stores ahead of the busy festive period.

Evri's ParcelShop service is a nationwide network of local drop-off and collection points where customers can send, collect and return parcels.

Through the new ParcelShop service, shoppers will be able to send, collect and return parcels from thousands of retailers directly in Asda stores, making the supermarket the first in the UK to offer a national parcel collection and return network.

The initiative covers over 300 Asda stores, including Express convenience stores and some supermarkets and hypermarkets.

Asda said the service will be extended to all 1,200 Asda stores in the UK by April next year.

Chris Hall, vice president, logistics at Asda said that the move provides customers with more convenience.

“This service gives them the flexibility to collect or return an Evri parcel whether they’re popping in for a pint of milk in one of our Express stores or doing their big shop in one of our larger stores,” continued Hall.

Evri ParcelShops are located in over 9,000 local businesses across the UK, including corner shops and petrol stations.

The announcement follows Evri’s £50 million investment, revealed in June 2025, to double its network of ParcelShops and Lockers to 25,000 locations by 2030.

With the investment, Evri said all lockers in its network will have high-quality hardware with a label printer, drop box, parcel detection sensors, and will be accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The company added that customers will benefit from a best-in-class user experience with the option for a completely contactless experience through geo-based Near Field Communication.

Other British retailers have recently signed deals with Evri, including Debenhams Group.

In September, the UK retailer announced it has extended its long-term partnership with the delivery provider, establishing it as one of its key delivery partners.

Debenhams said customers will also benefit from the launch of Evri’s new locker strategy, giving them more choice over how they receive their orders.
