Cath Kidston hires new digital director

Cath Kidston has appointed former Dune e-commerce director Rob Silsbury as its new digital director.

He left the footwear retailer in June after three years leading the marketing and online business, having previously held senior e-commerce and digital roles at Tiffany & Co and Ralph Lauren.

Silsbury takes the place of James Wintle, who spent the last year as digital director at Cath Kidston, before leaving this week to take the chief digital officer role at jewellery brand Vashi.

He will report directly to the fashion and homeware retailer's chief executive Melinda Paraie.

Cath Kidston went into administration in April, with the closure of all its 60 stores, losing around 900 jobs. Since then, the brand has focused on selling its products via digital and wholesale channels.
