EE partners with Netflix on Squid Game 2 experience in London

EE has partnered with Netflix to launch an exclusive Squid Game 2 experience at its store in Westfield White City.

The mobile network operator said that the experience, which will take place this weekend, will enable customers to "immerse themselves" in the South Korean show, with shoppers who enter the store in with the chance of winning exclusive prizes like a limited edition 'Game Over' Xbox controller.

Squid Game is a thriller series about a group of more than a hundred cash-strapped players accepting a strange invitation to compete in children's games, with the last surviving player winning a huge cash prize.

EE said that from Friday - Sunday, the show's iconic Pink Guards will descend on Westfield White City to march shoppers into the store, with everyone who enters the Studio able to win a prize.

Shoppers can play the programme's famous piggy bank, redesigned as a 'money grabber' game, for a chance to win Squid Game merchandise.

“This activation is a fantastic opportunity for fans to challenge themselves and dive into the world of Squid Game, while reminding customers that they can tune in to the new Squid Game 2 on Netflix with EE TV," said Asif Aziz, retail director, EE. "Whether you’re here to play or just to soak up the atmosphere, we’re bringing fun, technology, and entertainment together in a way only EE can.”

Customers will also be able to play the new ‘Squid Game: Unleashed’ mobile game on tablets in-store, while the new Squid Game 2 modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be playable in the EE Studio Gaming Zone.

The Gaming Zone will also become a "hive of Squid Game 2 competition", with winners of each Red Light, Green Light game winning Call of Duty points, which can be redeemed against the new Squid Game operator bundles in Call of Duty, and be in with a chance to win one of the limited edition Game Over Xbox controllers, of which there are only 456 in the world.
