Frasers Group launches luxury division with global expansion plans

Frasers Group has revealed Frasers Group Luxury, its new high-end division that brings together Flannels, Harvey Nichols and The Webster.

The new division represents the next stage of Frasers Group’s expansion into luxury retail, combining its retail businesses, digital capabilities and strategic investments. The company said the division has been built on more than a decade of experience in the sector and aims to provide a platform for future global growth.

Flannels, which Frasers Group acquired in 2017, has grown to more than 80 stores across the UK and forms the core of its so-called ‘New Luxury’ strategy. The Webster joined the group in 2025, marking its entry into the US luxury market, while Harvey Nichols joined in 2026 with its established network and relationships with international brands.

Frasers Group’s wider luxury portfolio includes strategic investments in Mulberry, Burberry, HUGO BOSS and HULCAN’s Mile. The company said the division is intended to support brand partners with expansion, access to new audiences and entry into new markets.

Michael Murray, Frasers Group chief executive officer, said: “Luxury has been a core pillar of Frasers Group for more than a decade, starting with Flannels and growing into a profitable £1 billion-plus luxury ecosystem in just 10 years.” He said the group now had more than 100 stores across the UK and US and planned to scale the division through organic expansion, acquisitions and strategic investments.

The Webster is set for further investment in its US estate as part of the expansion. Founder Laure Heriard Dubreuil said the retailer would unveil a renovated Bal Harbour store in November as part of the Bal Harbour Shops West expansion, while plans include renovating its South Beach flagship and developing its New York presence.

Harvey Nichols chief executive Julia Goddard said Frasers Group’s operational and commercial expertise gave the retailer “confidence to invest, evolve and build for the long term”. Harvey Nichols operates stores across the UK and Ireland, as well as international locations including Hong Kong, Dubai, Riyadh, Kuwait and Doha.

The launch took place during Paris Fashion Week, where Frasers Group hosted an evening bringing together brand partners, designers, industry figures and international press. The event marks the start of the new division’s next phase of growth across the UK and US.

Commenting on the announcement, Burberry chief executive, Joshua Schulman, said: "We value Flannels as a long-standing wholesale partner. Their teams have a deep understanding of their customers, and their store network helps us reach Burberry customers across the UK, particularly in areas where we do not have directly operated stores.”

Christian Louboutin chief exec Alexis Mourot meanwhile praised the shoemaker’s “strong partnership” with Frasers, noting that “Harvey Nichols holds a special place in Christian Louboutin’s history, as it was where we opened our very first shop-in-shop worldwide in 2007”. He added that the company looks forward “to this new chapter and to continuing to grow our partnership together”.
