Frasers Group CCO joins AI specialist Selectika as strategic advisor

Chief customer officer at the Frasers Group David Clark has joined AI specialist Selectika as a strategic consultant.

Selectika's platform provides visual artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify catalogue management and generate detailed product descriptions, with the aim of providing retailers with real-time information, more accurate recommendations, and personalised size recommendations.

Clark brings the new role significant experience in e-commerce and retail, having made a significant impact at the Frasers Group as group digital director in 2022, before becoming chief customer officer in 2024.

At Frasers Group, his current responsibilities include long-term and medium-term customer strategy, including the creation of a single customer vision, affiliate programme, and omnichannel growth.

He also leads the strategic ownership of the group's digital business in the Frasers Group portfolio, which includes Sports Direct, Flannels, Frasers, Evans Cycles, Studio Retail, Amara, Game, USC and other group brands.

Clark was previously general manager for digital at Selfridges, a position he held from 2019 to 2021. There, he focused on tasks such as the medium-term strategy for Selfridges Digital.

He was also the owner of the overall business plan for Selfridges Digital, including strategic initiatives and business and technology priorities for the financial year.

“Great to be part of this super talented team,” said Clark in a LinkedIn post. “Looking forward to helping shape this exciting and innovative AI product.”
