Home Bargains creates 2,000 jobs

Liverpool-based discount retailer Home Bargains has created over 2,000 jobs over the past year.

The documents, first reported by Business Live, said the number employed by the business increased from 25,279 to 27,553.

The company, which trades as TJ Morris, said its pre-tax turnover rose from £2.7 billion to £3.3 billion in the 12 months to June 30.

In addition, the company said its pre-tax profits rose £202 million to £233 million over the same period.

The business operated 552 retail outlets across the UK as of June 2021.
