Italian footwear retailers roll out genAI-powered reporting system

Italian footwear retailers Scarpe&Scarpe and Pittarosso have rolled out a genAI-powered automated reporting system as they seek to improve their inventory capabilities and boost customer service.

Scarpe&Scarpe and Pittarosso operate approximately 300 retail locations across both brands, along with two e-commerce sites. The companies had a combined turnover of more than €480 million in 2023.

Implemented in collaboration with Impact Analytics, a specialist in merchandising and pricing solutions, the AI application for intelligent insight decoding, intelligent reporting and dashboarding aims to provides data-driven decision-making solutions to a range of key areas, including marketing, production and advertising.

The system provides analysis on the success of promotions and generates insights, providing visibility into different geographies and customer segments, and helping to optimise purchasing and product allocation to drive better customer satisfaction and overall growth.

The reporting system automates repetitive calculations and provides data with the aim of producing further insights to ensure product availability in line with customer demand.

“With a combined portfolio of nearly 300 stores, it is critical that we optimise our clusters to ensure that we meet our customers’ high expectations,” said Valentina Labate, head of merchandise planning and Allocation at PittaRosso and Scarpe&Scarpe.
