Kiko Milan opens dark store to improve supply chain operations

Cosmetics brand Kiko Milano has implemented new technology and opened a new distribution centre to improve its supply chain operations.

In partnership with Logistics Reply, a technology company specialising in supply chain solutions, Kiko Milano opened a dark store in London to respond to growing customer demand.

This is a a retail distribution centre that operates like a traditional store but is closed to the public and used exclusively to fulfil online orders.

The company also introduced a warehouse management system to build a more scalable and flexible logistics infrastructure.

Kiko Milano said that in just four months following the implementation of of the technology, delivery times and product availability have significantly improved.

The company added that the partnership represents a strategic milestone in its broader digital transformation journey and reinforces its commitment improving customer experience.

“Our mission is to delight customers with innovative, high-quality products delivered with speed and reliability” said Paul Devin, managing director UK at Kiko. “This solution has allowed us to cut our e-commerce delivery times in half.
