Italian fashion retailer LuisaViaRoma is implementing a cloud-based unified commerce platform as it seeks to unify its physical retail operations and create a more agile, efficient and digitally connected store network.
Integrated through a partnership with luxury and fashion focused tech company XY Retail, the unified platform offers a single system to manage point-of-sale (POS), order management (OMS) and clienteling, enabling omnichannel experiences like ship-from-store, buy online/return in-store (BORIS), endless aisle and real-time inventory visibility.
The retailer said the platform will provide teams with more visibility into inventory across all locations, enabling customers to access a broader assortment with more flexible fulfilment options.
Additionally, each store will have the capabilities to function as both an elevated service environment and a connected, omnichannel fulfilment node, the retailer added.
By providing more intuitive tools for day-to-day operations and customer service, the platform will help teams focus on delivering an improved client experience, LuisaViaRoma said.
The move forms part of the company’s broader restructuring and modernisation plans.
In July, the fashion retailer also announced a new partnership with checkout technology company Bolt to support its e-commerce growth in the US.
The move came after the luxury fashion brand debuted in the country in 2025 with the opening of a flagship store in New York City alongside new digital experiences for American shoppers.
In a statement at the time, the retailer said it aimed to use Bolt’s shopping network to improve the checkout experience of its US client base through to a ‘one-click checkout solution’ that does not require a password.
Founded in 1929 by the Panconesi family with the opening of a small hat boutique in Via Roma in Florence, LuisaViaRoma offers a curated selection of clothing and accessories for men, women, and children, as well as beauty and home items, featuring collections from international brands.
