French retail chain Monoprix has implemented an AI powered forecasting tool across its 400 stores.
Monoprix, part of the Casino Group, will use the technology to enhance planning and replenishment for its textile, home, and leisure categories.
The company partnered with RELEX Solutions, a provider of unified supply chain and retail planning solutions, and Accenture to deploy the technology.
Monoprix said the system will also be installed in two of its distribution centres to drive higher global revenue and margins.
The retailer offers a wide range of products including food, fashion, beauty, and home goods. With over 30,000 stock keeping units (SKUs), it also operates smaller store formats such as Monop’.
Monoprix stated that advanced AI will help manage its mix of permanent and seasonal items more effectively. This is expected to improve operational efficiency and sustainability by reducing excess inventory waste.
Lilian Rosas, deputy general manager at Monoprix, said: “Partnering with RELEX Solutions will enhance our planning capabilities through advanced AI technology. Their solution and expertise will help us achieve better forecasting, improved allocation, and increased margins.
“Automating our replenishment processes will ensure customers find the products they need while optimising inventory management and reducing waste.”
