Moonpig appoints new CEO

Online greeting card retailer Moonpig has announced the appointment of Catherine Faiers as chief executive.

Faiers is joins Moonpig from Auto Trader where she has worked as chief operating officer for eight years.

Prior to this she held the role of chief operating officer at taxi company Addison Lee.

She has also held senior roles at Trainline and was director at Close Brothers Corporate Finance.

Faiers takes on her new role at Moonpig from Nickyl Raithatha, who is stepping down after seven years at the company.

Moonpig will announce Faiers’ start date in due course, with Raithatha remaining in post to oversee the transition.

"Catherine brings a wealth of experience in e-commerce and public companies, with a proven track record of leading customer-focused digital, data, and technology transformations,” said Kate Swann, non-executive chair. “I'm delighted to welcome her to the Board and look forward to working closely with her.

“The board is pleased to have attracted someone of Catherine's calibre to lead Moonpig Group, which reflects the strength and potential of our business."
