New Look is opening its largest concept store to date at Metrocentre in Gateshead this week, part of its plans to invest in stores that combine physical shopping with digital services.
The new 11,000 sq ft store opens on 9 July and marks the latest stage in New Look's rollout of its omni-hub format, following concept store launches at Bluewater, Lakeside and Milton Keynes.
Located in Metrocentre's Red Mall fashion hub, the store will offer an expanded womenswear, accessories and teen clothing range, alongside digital services including click and collect, order-in-store, self-service returns and digital browsing.
New Look said it has also installed refreshed fitting rooms and showroom-inspired displays designed to create a more connected shopping experience across its stores and online channels.
New Look has had a store at Metrocentre for around 20 years.
The new concept store also supports the continued rollout of Club New Look, the retailer's loyalty programme, which recently surpassed one million members. In late June, the company announced the implementation of new AI tools that it said would speed up product development, fuelled by insights generated through this scheme.

The retailer said the new opening forms part of a broader £30 million investment in digital technology aimed at making shopping more personalised and convenient.
“Opening our largest-ever concept store is a proud moment for New Look and reflects how we're continuing to reimagine the role our stores play for customers,” said Mark Matthews, retail director at New Look. “Opening our largest-ever concept store is a proud moment for New Look and reflects how we're continuing to reimagine the role our stores play for customers.
