Ocado Solutions chief executive to retire

Luke Jensen, chief executive of Ocado Solutions and board member, will retire from his roles on 30 September 2023 to focus on non-executive director positions.

Jensen has worked as chief executive of Ocado Solutions since 2017 and has been a member of the board since 2018.

John Martin, who is currently non-executive director at Ocado, will take on the role as chief executive of Ocado Solutions on 1 September 2023, allowing time for Jensen to hand over the role.

After his appointment, Martin will step down as chair of the audit committee, as a member of the people committee and he will cease to be a member of the board.

As a result of the changes, Rachel Osborne will take on the role of audit chair from the 1 September. She is due to join the board as a non-executive director on the same date.

"Over the last six years, Luke has played a key role in our transformation into a global technology solutions business,” said Tim Steiner, chief executive of Ocado. “He leaves our Solutions business in a strong position to drive future growth, having recently established a global regional structure, with the appointments of regional presidents and the creation of a global Partner Success organisation.

“We wish him well and thank him for his contribution to Ocado. Luke will be supporting the transition over the coming months."

Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent.
