Royal Mail has integrated its international delivery service into Ebay.
The integration means that sellers on the online marketplace will be able to offer Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed, Royal Mail International Signed, and Royal Mail International Standard available on Ebay, making it easier to export to Europe and the rest of the world, according to the postal service.
Sellers on Ebay will now find international service options available in the existing Ebay Royal Mail shipping journeys tab, and can buy and print labels as they would for domestic Royal Mail delivery services.
The new optionality follows Ebay’s enrolment into Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) last year, which enabled business customers to download Ebay orders directly into their Royal Mail business accounts.
IOSS enrolment has also ensured a more straightforward process for orders being sent to the EU. Royal Mail International services now also provides non-account business and consumer sellers with the same level of access to IOSS as business customers to the EU and global markets.
Nick Landon, chief commercial officer at Royal Mail, said: “Selling internationally has become more complex over the last two years as everyone knows. But exporting opens up huge additional markets for all sellers.”
He added: “Because it’s so important we have worked with eBay to make it as easy as possible for you to export, enhancing the Royal Mail International services you know and trust with new capabilities you can access without leaving the eBay site.”
