The Range and Wilko ink new partnership to boost digital expansion

Retail giant CDS Superstores, owner of multi-channel chains The Range and Wilko, has inked a new partnership with global fulfilment solutions specialist THG Fulfil.

With the move, CDS Superstore will aim to accelerate its digital growth ambitions as it seeks to further strengthen the expansion of its omnichannel offer.

The company will leverage THG Fulfil’s extensive warehouse automation solutions, which allow for the movement of 95 per cent of all units sold while also incorporating automation procedures within its fulfilment journey.

THG Fulfil will also integrate outsourcing operations, aiming to facilitate more scale-up growth from a fulfilment and service compliance perspective, while the company will also integrate mobile robotics.

Alex Simpkin, chief executive of CDS Superstores, said the strategic partnership with THG Fulfil will allow the retailer to improve pick and pack operations for a large proportion of its product range across each brand, with the retailer particularly focusing on the relaunch of thousands of Wilko-branded items.

“With THG Fulfil’s advanced automated solutions, we’re able to meet the needs of households across the UK, delivering home and garden products directly to their doors quickly and efficiently,” he added.
