Yodel to hire 4,300 new staff

Yodel is looking to recruit 4,300 new staff as it prepares for the festive period, including couriers, parcel sorters and warehouse operatives at its 50 locations across the UK.

With more being bought online, Yodel says it has been operating at “peak levels” throughout the year.

Mike Hancox, CEO of Yodel, said: “We expect the ongoing growth in online retail will continue in the winter months, as consumers look to finalise their Black Friday and Christmas shopping for friends, family and loved ones as conveniently as possible.”

Both full- and part-time roles are available.

Yodel says it handled 190 million parcels last year, a 30 per cent increase when compared to 2019.

The firm is headquartered in Liverpool, with three central sorting offices and 47 customer delivery depots.
