Zalando has announced the appointment of Tom Christenson as senior vice president of its business-to-business division as the fashion retailer looks to accelerate growth of its logistics, software and e-commerce services for brands and retailers.
Before joining Zalando, Christenson was chief executive of industrial marketplace TBAuctions. He previously built Amazon's Seller Fulfilled Prime programme and worked for the online retailer for over four years.
Christenson also led Uber Freight's European business and oversaw its merger with Sennder Technologies as chief operating officer of the combined company.
Christenson joined Zalando on 15 October to lead the company's overall B2B strategy, working across its logistics platform, integration platform and e-commerce software business.
The appointment comes as Zalando continues to expand its B2B offering, which provides brands and retailers with logistics, fulfilment, software and marketplace services to support cross-border e-commerce. The retailer said its B2B business generated more than €1 billion in revenue in 2025 and now serves more than 1,200 merchants.
Zalando added its B2B strategy complements its consumer business, with the company's logistics network, AI capabilities and customer data supporting both merchants and its retail operations. The retailer currently serves 62 million active customers across 29 markets through its Zalando, About You and Lounge by Zalando platforms.
David Schröder, co-chief executive at Zalando, said: “Tom has spent his career building strong marketplaces and the services that help sellers grow on them, and he is the perfect fit as we accelerate our B2B vision to build the operating system for e-commerce in fashion and lifestyle.”
