eBay is planning a US live event tour that will bring livestream shopping and collector-focused experiences to cities across the country.

Beginning on 14 June, “eBay Live on Tour” will showcase top eBay sellers, curated inventory, special guests, and real-time broadcasts from hobby shops, conventions, and trade nights.

The live shopping events will cover categories including collectibles, luxury goods, sneakers and apparel, with sellers able to get offers from both live auction and through eBay’s “Buy It Now” format.

Buy It Now is an eBay feature that allows buyers to immediately purchase items at a fixed price, without waiting for the auction to end.

The initiative is part of livestream shopping experience “eBay Live”, which aims to promote new ways for collectors to discover, buy and connect, both in person and online, by tuning into the eBay Live Tour channel.

Launched in 2022, eBay Live aims to connect buyers with knowledgeable sellers in real time.

Buyers can ask questions, view items up close and buy instantly on mobile devices, desktops or the eBay app.

Caroline Pougnier, US general manager, eBay Live, emphasised the live strategy aims to bring people together over shared passions

“This tour is our way of showing up for the community—meeting collectors where they are and celebrating The Hobby together,” she added.

The tour will stop across several cities and states, including Florida, California, Oklahoma, with events running until mid-November.

eBay added further stops will be announced soon.
