Matalan is implementing the Dynamic Blade EPoS solution, from DigiPoS Store Solutions, across its 200 plus UK stores. Roll-out is planned to take 24 months.
Matalan appointed DigiPoS in September 2010 and the Dynamic Blade solution went live in the retailer’s Huddersfield store one month later. Its latest store opened in High Wycombe on 18 November, and also incorporates the solution. Peter Trainer, IT and logistics director at Matalan Retail, says: “We have ambitious growth plans for the next few years and need the technology to support us in our endeavours. The Dynamic Blade solution requires low-level maintenance, and the tills can be replaced quickly and seamlessly. This means they are rarely down, and therefore there is little impact on the customer. The team at DigiPoS has also been both supportive and collaborative.”
