New Look to open ‘omni-hub’ concept store

British clothing retailer New Look is opening a new ‘omni-hub’ concept store at Bluewater in a bid to blend physical and digital customer journeys.

The company said that the 12,120 square foot store will include several features to streamline the customer journey, including a menswear showroom and what it describes as “digital inspiration”.

The space incorporates ideas trialled during a £3 million investment in its Manchester store, such as a new store design to improve product merchandising and align the shop floor with the company’s brand identity.

Customers will also be able to make use of a dedicated service hub to improve collections and returns.

An entire mezzanine floor will be dedicated to New Look’s 915 collection, which showcases a range of casual clothing, sportswear and accessories for girls aged 9-15.

The new store will also feature an extensive range of womenswear and accessories.
The new store will open on 3 April, with New Look planning several give aways and offers to celebrate the launch.

Elaine Cartwright, retail director at New Look, said that Bluewater has been a major retail destination for shoppers, adding that showing up “with purpose” at the location is an important part of the firm’s retail strategy.

“Our decision to relocate and redesign our Bluewater store demonstrates our commitment to bricks and mortar retailing in the UK & the important part stores play in our communities,” she added. “Our new store will bring to life our omni-hub space, where digital and physical customer journeys will come together in real life.”
