Ski equipment manufacturer Atomic rolls out new footwear sizing tech

Atomic, the manufacturer of ski equipment, has rolled out new technology designed to help customers find their ideal shoe size.

The new foot-scanning technology, developed by EyeFitU, provides sizing recommendations based on precise foot dimensions, with the aim of improving the online shopping experience and reducing returns.

According to Atomic, whose product range includes skis, ski boots, helmets and protective gear, the tech will help to boost customer experience by delivering accurate sizing which is particularly essential for ski boots where the wrong fit can compromise the overall sport experience.

Stefan Lettner, head of e-commerce at Atomic said: "Partnering with EyeFitU elevates that experience, ensuring our customers get the best fit for their ski boots and footwear. This collaboration lets us provide the accuracy and comfort our customers expect from our products.”

The move comes as retailers look to integrate new technology to provide a more personalised online shopping experience.

Last week, Benefit Cosmetics announced its partnership with immersive experience company Obsess to launch a new 3D shopping experience offering customers a digital space to shop for products, virtually try on cosmetics, and play games to win discounts.

Sustainable lifestyle brand Harper Collective also recently launched a fully digital flagship store which features an immersive and interactive 360-degree e-commerce experience.
