Specsavers expands executive leadership team with 3 appointments

Specsavers has announced three new appointments to its executive leadership team.

The move forms part of a wider change to the company’s regional structure, with Peter Bainbridge, previously managing director – UK/ROI optics being appointed regional director, Europe.

In his new role, Bainbridge will have overall responsibility for the combined European region, overseeing Specsavers’ optics, audiology and Newmedica businesses in the UK/ROI and Northern European region – spanning Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Carina Hummel, previously managing director – UK/ROI Audiology, has been appointed managing director – UK/ROI Optics.

Hummel has been a member of the Specsavers executive board since September 2022, having spent over more than 25 years at the company.

Charlotte Hall, previously supply chain commercial director has been appointed managing director – UK/ROI Audiology.

Hall will continue to drive the growth of Specsavers’ UK/ROI audiology business, drawing on the knowledge that she acquired from her time on the Global Audiology Forum as well as from more than a decade spent in previous roles in the grocery sector.

“I am delighted to welcome these outstanding leaders to their new roles," said John Perkins, chief executive, Specsavers. "Each brings a wealth of experience, a strong track record of success and a shared passion for delivering exceptional care and service to our customers.

“These three appointments will allow us to continue to grow and innovate as a business so that we can meet the evolving needs of our partners and colleagues, enabling them to deliver expert eye and hearing care to the customers and communities we serve."
