Waitrose lowers prices on 130 items

Waitrose has lowered the prices of around 130 popular items from its premium ranges in the first phase of its latest round of price cuts.

Products which have had their prices cut including cheese, croissants and pork joints from the No.1 and Duchy Organic ranges.

The supermarket said the price cuts represent and investment of around £10 million and it has invested around £140 million in price cuts over the past 18 months.

Around 1,400 products have had their prices lowered by an average of seven per cent since February 2023.

In February this year, Waitrose lowered the prices on over 200 lines of its own brand products, with prices dropping by an average of eight per cent. The supermarket said the decision is part of a £30 million investment and follows a similar move last year.

“Our food loving customers come to Waitrose to experience the very best, from exceptional flavours to the quality of the ingredients we offer,” said Charlotte Di Cello, commercial director for Waitrose. “This latest investment in prices will include a large number of products across No.1 and our Organic Duchy ranges which we know our customers love.
