Aldi to create 1,000 UK logistics roles

Aldi has announced plans to create around 1,000 new logistics roles across the UK over the next year.

The supermarket retailer, which has over 960 stores and currently employees 38,000 people in the UK, said that it is looking to expand its distribution, transport, and maintenance teams across its 11 regional distribution centres.

“As we continue to grow and make Aldi accessible to even more shoppers, we need more amazing colleagues at our distribution sites across the country to make that possible,” said Kelly Stokes, recruitment director, Aldi UK. “As well as market-leading pay and benefits, being an Aldi colleague means a great working environment and real opportunities to progress within the business.

"We look forward to welcoming even more great people to our distribution centres to become a part of our success.”

The move is part of Aldi’s recruitment drive which will see the company creating around 2,000 permenant jobs in the UK in 2022.
