Amazon veteran Satish Guddati has left Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join supply chain technology start‑up Auger as principal engineer.
Auger is an AI‑powered supply chain software start‑up founded by Dave Clark, the former Amazon executive who helped build the company’s logistics network.
The firm develops AI tools that help large companies manage their supply chains by unifying fragmented logistics systems into a single platform, providing real‑time operational insights to medium and large enterprises, and replacing legacy systems with a modern tech stack.
Auger launched publicly in October 2024 and immediately raised $100 million in seed funding.
Guddati said he will be working on building a supply chain operating system powered by AI and designed to bring simplicity, real‑time insight and automation to global logistics.
Commenting on the move in a LinkedIn post, he added: “This felt like a natural next step – one that builds on my professional experience building distributed AI systems that scale for real‑world operations.”
His decision follows more than 17 years at Amazon, marking the end of a “deeply meaningful chapter” in his career.
“I joined Amazon in 2008, fresh out of school, and it’s hard to overstate how transformative that journey has been, both personally and professionally,” Guddati said.
He noted that during his years at Amazon he had the opportunity to work across a wide range of sectors, learning, building and managing large‑scale systems.
“Amazon gave me not just roles, but a foundation – a mindset of ownership, a culture of relentless innovation, and the confidence to take on big, ambiguous problems with clarity and purpose,” he said.
