Costa Coffee selects TrueCommerce to lead EDI expansion

European coffee chain Costa Coffee has selected TrueCommerce to lead its global electronic data interchange (EDI) expansion.

TrueCommerce specialises in EDI solutions, providing access to a fully integrated, global supply chain network that aims to connect customers, suppliers, and logistics partners to enhance companies’ internal systems and chain performance.

The partnership will see the software specialist focusing on implementing unified EDI integration with Costa’s existing ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations platforms, aiming to strengthen the retailer’s operational agility and support its expansion plans.

Costa Coffee, which currently has around 3,000 establishments across the continent, stated that the decision to partner with TrueCommerce underscores its commitment to optimising operations and enhancing global supply chain capabilities.

The retailer added that, given its expansive network, it has been seeking a solution “capable of adapting to its rapid growth and evolving requirements”.

Keith Patterson, Global Enterprise Architect at Costa Coffee, added: “In addition to the scalability and reliability demands of our ever-growing organisation, we were concerned with future-proofing our trading partner connectivity.”

“The EDI platform provided by TrueCommerce will ensure we are well-prepared for ongoing growth during this exciting period for our business.”

Matthew Wilcock, Senior Vice President of Sales, Europe at TrueCommerce, emphasised the partnership’s value: “Our collaboration with Costa Coffee is aimed at enhancing scalability, reducing risk, and accelerating growth. By leveraging our advanced EDI solutions, Costa Coffee will benefit from improved operational efficiency and reduced technical burdens, enabling them to focus on expanding their market presence with agility.”
