Deliveroo partners with Zapp

Deliveroo has partnered with 24/7 premium convenience delivery app Zapp in central London.

The move means that Deliveroo customers will now be able to order from Zapp’s catalogue of 2500 products.

The partnership said that the tie-up will expand the on-demand convenience and premium selections available via Deliveroo while enabling Zapp to expand its reach.

Each order will be picked from the nearest ‘Zappstore’ and delivered to customers by Deliveroo riders.

Commenting on the news Ajay Lakhwani, chief commercial Officer at Zapp, said: “By joining forces with Deliveroo, we can delight even more Londoners with our carefully curated premium catalogue.”

He added: “Whether it’s hosting a spontaneous dinner party, craving late night snacks, getting early morning essentials or even buying a last minute Christmas gift, customers can order Zapp on Deliveroo for delivery in minutes, night and day.”

Customers will be able to order from Zapp’s selection of premium Christmas gifts, including Fortnum and Mason Christmas hampers. Users will also be able to order Christmas dinner products like pigs in blankets for rapid delivery on Christmas day.

“The launch of Zapp on Deliveroo means we can offer an even wider choice and selection to customers across central London,” said Georgie Williams, director of grocery, UK&I, Deliveroo. “Households from Battersea to St John’s Wood now have the freedom to throw last-minute festive parties with everything from champagne to Christmas gifts delivered to their doorsteps in minutes.”

Deliveroo recently announced a trial of subsidised ebikes in partnership with VOLT, which allows riders to travel further and provides a greener alternative to cars.

Deliveroo has also partnered with Morrisons to open its first physical grocery store in London.
