Flying Tiger Copenhagen rolls out loyalty app in the Nordics

Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s customers in the Nordics are now able to access the retailer’s loyalty app.

In a LinkedIn post, the variety store chain’s social media coordinator Amalie Willems said: “We’ve successfully launched the Flying Tiger Copenhagen Club app in Sweden, Norway and most recently Finland!”

She added that the launch includes several influencer collaborations, including a partnership with Norwegian artist Charlotte Karlsen.

“The app is already making waves, offering our customers exclusive discounts and a more engaging customer experience,” continued Willems.

Earlier this year, the company announced that its app would feature an accompanying customer club, The Flying Copenhagen Club, enhancing the retailer’s focus on more personalised communications and rewards for loyal customers.

The app currently includes a range of loyalty benefits for its users, including discounts ranging from 10 per cent to 20 per cent that can be applied on in-store purchases.

Commenting on the app’s launch, Andre Filomeno, senior vice president for customer and digital at the retailer, said: "The majority of transactions happen in physical stores. However, we are rolling out a number of initiatives to improve the experience, whether customers encounter with us in the stores or in the digital universe.”

He continued: “Therefore, we are enhancing our customer experience across all platforms, making the new app a valuable addition to all of our channels and a key foundation to our omnichannel approach.”

The loyalty app was first rolled out in Denmark in June 2024 after a pilot project had been tested in Spain and Italy, the company's largest markets by revenue.

The company said that the pilot showed that purchases increased by more than 50 per cent for members compared to non-members, with purchase frequency increasing by 10 per cent.
