Grove Collaborative acquires Grab Green

US everyday goods retailer Grove Collaborative has acquired eco-friendly cleaning products manufacturer Grab Green.

The move comes as Grove Collaborative seeks to expand and strengthen its sustainable household cleaning products range.

Grab Green produces sustainable consumer products that serve as natural alternatives to traditional products. It has been a third-party supplier to Grove Collaborative since 2019.

The agreement will see the integration of the Grab Green product line, which includes laundry detergent, dishwasher pods and all-purpose cleaners, into Grove's current portfolio of sustainable offerings.

Grab Green, which has more than 100 products in the household cleaning and personal care category, will continue to be available through Grove Collaborative’s online platform, as well as on Amazon.

Grove Collaborative, which creates and selects household cleaning, personal care, health and wellness, laundry, clean beauty, baby and pet care products from more than 280 brands with sustainable goals, added that the agreement reinforces the company's commitment to making consumer products a force for good for the environment and people.

Jeff Yurcisin, chief executive of Grove Collaborative, emphasised the company's commitment to creating safe, sustainable and effective cleaning products that align perfectly with Grove's mission to reduce the environmental impact of everyday products.

“This acquisition represents an exciting opportunity to scale our collective impact, bringing even more innovative and eco-friendly solutions to consumers while continuing to raise the bar for sustainability in our industry,” Yurcisin added.

The deal will also see Grab Green co-founders Patricia Spencer and Michael Edell join Grove Collaborative as consultants to help oversee integration and product development.

Spencer added the collaboration will enable Grab Green to expand and have a greater environmental impact.

“With Grove’s extensive platform and shared values, we are confident that this partnership will amplify our ability to innovate and lead the charge in sustainable home care,” she continued.
