Gucci launches e-commerce platform for refurbished pieces

Gucci has opened a new online concept store for restored and customised archive pieces.

The e-commerce platform, established by creative director Alessandro Michele, will also include designs from emerging designers.

The items will be released at regular intervals throughout the year in limited quantities.

Michele told reporters in Milan that the project was inspired by his passion for collecting fashion.

“Yes, I do this work to tell stories,” he said. “But I also do it because I truly love objects.”

Designers featured on the new site include London-bsaed Priya Ahluwalia.

“Completely out of the blue, I got a message from Gucci,” said Ahluwalia, as reported by Abc News. “I thought it was an advertisement or spam.’’

She added:“When I realised it was real, I was extremely happy.”

As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent.
