Huawei invests £10m in three new UK stores

Huawei will open three new Experience Stores and Service Centres in the UK, including its first ever own-brand store, which will open in London’s Olympic Park in October.

This will be followed by a dedicated retail space and service centre in Manchester, scheduled to open in February. An additional London Huawei Experience Store will be opened in early 2021, in addition to the Huawei Service Centre in Wembley, which opened in June this year. Together these stores will also boost employment through the creation of more than 100 new UK jobs.

Anson Zhang, managing director of Huawei’s UK consumer business group, said: “We are excited to be making this strong commitment to the UK, and to be coming to the High Street to deliver our innovative new devices and experiences direct to the millions of people who own and love our products."

The Experience Stores will feature Huawei’s ecosystem of products, including smartphones, laptops, tablets, headphones, earbuds, smartwatches, fitness bands and speakers. The stores also offer users product training and technical support, as well as a personalised consultation service to troubleshoot any product queries.

The UK store openings follow the recent flagship store openings in Madrid in July 2019, Barcelona in February 2020, Paris in March 2020 and the second global flagship store which opened in Shanghai in June 2020.
