John Lewis has become the latest retailer to announced it will remove all products made in Russia from its range.
Last week Sainsbury’s revealed it would remove any products 100 per cent sourced from Russia from its shelves.
It also said it would rename its Chicken Kiev to Chicken Kyiv.
The Ukrainian capital was referred to as Kiev in the Soviet Union but is called Kyiv by Ukrainian citizens.
John Lewis said that it will no longer sell its Russian Vodka in Waitrose and one line of pizza oven pellets in John Lewis.
“We’re working with our suppliers to review products that have components of Russian origin and will be seeking to mitigate further exposure to the region,” said the company in a statement.
Over the weekend, Zara-owner Inditex also announced it would stop all trading in Russia. The retailer reportedly closed its 502 shops across the region and also paused its e-commerce service.
