Retail tech firm Radar bolsters executive team with key appointments

New York-based retail tech firm Radar has announced two key appointments to its leadership team.

Zach Little, an Apple and Microsoft veteran with more than two decades of experience, has been named chief technology officer, effective 22 July. Little will oversee all Radar product development initiatives, reporting directly to Spencer Hewett, founder and chief executive officer.

Little joins Radar, which combines RFID and computer vision technology to track and precisely locate in-store inventory, from Luminar Technologies, where he served as vice president of engineering, overseeing development of the company's lidar products. His previous roles include vice president of hardware and firmware at Argo AI and head of the camera engineering programme management organisation at Apple.

Hewett commented on the appointment: "Zach is a respected leader who combines technology expertise and the ability to get large hardware and software engineering teams to move in unison to accomplish business goals with lightning speed. His unique skill set and strategic mindset make him an ideal fit for Radar."

In addition to Little's appointment, Radar has hired Morgan Levine as general counsel. Levine, formerly vice president of legal and compliance at Farfetch, will report to Eric Mogil, chief growth officer.

Mogil stated: "Morgan's deep experience and expertise in both retail and technology organisations make her an excellent partner to our executive team and board as we continue to scale Radar into a global market leader in retail technology."

Radar's proprietary platform enables retailers to complete full in-store inventory cycle counts with 99 per cent accuracy in near real time. The technology is currently deployed in hundreds of American Eagle stores across the US and is being piloted by multiple other Fortune 500 retailers.
