The White Company signs 5-year contract with Wincanton

The White Company has awarded supply chain business Wincanton a five-year contract.

The contract will see the logistics company provide multi-channel fulfilment services for the luxury lifestyle retailer.

Wincanton will handle international e-commerce orders, as well as store replenishment for the company’s 60 UK and Ireland locations. It will also provide value-added services for the business’ 1.6 million customers.

Around 175 of the retailer’s employees working in fulfilment and warehousing will transfer from the company to join the 20,000-strong Wincanton team as part of the deal.

“This contract with The White Company is a big step forward for Wincanton and a significant milestone for our e-fulfilment operations,” said James Wroath, chief executive, Wincanton. “In due course our state-of-the-art facility in Rockingham will be The White Company’s central logistics hub and we will be helping to deliver continued growth in customer experience, efficiency and productivity for the company through greater use of automation.”
