Italian high-end fashion brand Twinset has integrated an AI-powered platform to strengthen the traceability of its supply chain and expand its environmental impact initiatives.
The new platform, integrated in collaboration with global Saas specialist TrusTrace, aims to help identify suppliers, support eco-design initiatives, and measure the environmental impact of each product.
The technology aims to help the brand collect and validate primary data from its supply chains to strengthen environmentally led solutions. The data can be used for risk management, compliance, product claims, and footprint calculations, enabling the firm to share data on product origin and impact.
Silvia Zaganelli, traceability and business development manager at Twinset said: “We are implementing the platform as the backbone of our three-year traceability programme, which is ambitioning to discover sub-suppliers, map and collect data for key value processes, and achieve PO-level traceability.”
As part of a three-year roadmap, the company aims to gather data and progressively scale up to ultimately trace the full range of product categories and suppliers.
The brand said it is particularly focused on identifying material country of origin, managing supply-chain risk such as forced labour, and enabling eco-design by assessing the environmental impact of the product.
The brand is also preparing for incoming regulations such as Digital Product Passports (DDPs) which will be mandatory on textiles sold in Europe by 2030 and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which requires companies to report on their environmental and social impact.
