Wix integrates with YouTube Shopping

Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) builder platform Wix has announced it is integrating with YouTube Shopping.

The move, which builds on Wix’s existing partnership with Google Shopping, will enable the company’s merchant customers to sell their products directly through the platform.

YouTube Shopping allows eligible creators to showcase their products and official branded merchandise on YouTube.

Merchants on the platform will be able to tag products in YouTube videos, live streams, and shorts.

Products are featured directly on the YouTube store tab, allowing viewers access them for purchase.

Sellers can also track the performance of these tagged products using YouTube's analytics tools.

Product details such as descriptions, and images, are automatically synced between Wix and YouTube.

Greg Sisung, head of sales channels at Wix said: “Our integration with YouTube transforms the social shopping experience for both sellers and buyers, and even influencers, allowing users to reach their target audiences where they already are, and enhancing their ability to engage with new and larger clientele.”

Wix merchants can manage YouTube Shopping through the Google & YouTube Sales Channels section in their Wix dashboard.

Wix has recently launched a suite of new tools powered by AI to provide users, including retailers, with a way to improve blog posts and boost online sales marketing.

The move comes as retailers increasingly look to AI to support online marketing, including through content creation for product descriptions and advertisements tailored to specific customer preferences.
