E-commerce technology business Doddle has announced the launch of its new self-service kiosks.
The company says that the hardware device can enable automated, package-less, label-free self-service returns in under a minute.
Customers select start on the touchscreen; scan the return QR code and then place their return into packaging provided.
After this, they take the label printed by the kiosk, apply it to the item, and then place it in the drop box. A digital receipt is sent by email.
Doddle said that carriers can use the kiosks to form part of a “comprehensive returns solution”.
“Our research shows that 94 per cent of retailers see making returns better as a priority for their business,” said Tim Robinson, chief executive, Doddle. “However, most merchants won’t have the ability to develop their own returns solutions in-house. That’s where carriers can come in. By solving this problem for merchants, they can deepen their relationships, win additional new business thanks to a more complete e-commerce proposition, and enable their merchant customers to succeed in e-commerce, driving long-term parcel volume increases.”
