FatFace opens seventh store in Ireland

FatFace has announced it has opened a new store in Galway, its seventh store in Ireland.

The clothing company said the move is part of its plans to grow its presence in the country, adding the new store will serve customers in the west of Ireland.

The Galway 1,500 square foot location will create five jobs. FatFace said that new team members will enjoy “generous” staff discounts, access to well-being services, learning and development resources, and flexible working opportunities.

The new store joins existing locations including Cork, Westport and Wexford. FatFace currently has around 175 stores in its home market of the UK.

“We are delighted to open our new store in Galway and continue growing our presence across Ireland,” said Karen Johnston, stores director at FatFace. “This new location allows us to bring our unique product offering to even more customers while maintaining our strong connection with local communities.

“We look forward to welcoming shoppers through our doors and becoming part of the Galway retail landscape.”

In April, FatFace launched an in-store personal styling service and WhatsApp channel for customer enquiries, as part of its investment in improving customer experience across physical and digital channels.

The fashion and lifestyle brand is initially trialling the free styling service, called Face to Face, at six stores in Belfast, Chester, Derby, Horsham, Norwich and Wimborne.

During the one-on-one appointments, stylists work with customers to meet their wardrobe goals, such as refreshing everyday staples or selecting outfits for special occasions.
