John Lewis granted Royal Warrant of Appointment

John Lewis has been granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment as supplier of household goods and furnishings to King Charles III.

The Royal Warrant is a mark of recognition to companies who have regularly supplied the royal household for at least five years.

The grants were made to 386 companies drawn from those previously holding a single Royal Warrant of Appointment to Queen Elizabeth II and included seven organisations which have an ongoing trading relationship with Queen Camilla.

In May, 152 Royal Warrants were granted to companies. Many of these previously held a Warrant of Appointment to His Majesty as Prince of Wales, who began granting them in 1980.

In this round of grants, Waitrose was awarded Royal Warrant of Appointment as grocers and wine and spirit merchants.

“It’s a proud moment to be recognised by His Majesty with his Royal Warrant,” said Peter Ruis, executive director of John Lewis. “For 160 years, we’ve been focused on offering excellent customer service and the highest quality products, and the Royal Warrant is testament to the hard work of partners across John Lewis and our suppliers.”
