Londis to install EPOS technology

Convenience store chain Londis has partnered with electronic point of sale (EPOS) provider Kleo to install the technology in its outlets.

Londis stores will install mobile point of sale (MPOS) systems as well as EPOS in its stores

Kleo said these will improve the customer experience in Londis stores by reducing queuing times, boosting staff efficiency and streamlining operations.

The company added that the integrated payment systems will offer Londis flexibiliy to meet the changing needs of customers.

"We're thrilled to partner with Londis and see the positive impact our systems are having in their stores,” said Joe Robson, co-founder of Kleo. Our goal has always been to equip retailers with effective tools for smoother operations, and it's rewarding to see our technology making a real difference."

Last month, grocery retailer Sainsbury’s announced it had signed a seven-year agreement with CX firm NCR Voyix to provide a quicker checkout experience for customers.

Under the partnership Sainsbury's will upgrade its checkout technology, implementing around 22,500 point of sale and self-checkout systems across supermarkets, convenience stores and petrol stations.
