L’Oréal’s SkinCeuticals launches 1:1 digital skincare consultation

L’Oréal’s SkinCeuticals has rolled out a 1:1 virtual consultation service.

The digital initiative allows customers to book digital consultations to access advice from specialised experts’ while browsing online.

The free service, which was designed in collaboration with technology specialists Bambuser and Booxi, includes the integration of live video capabilities and an appointment scheduling platform.

The retailer, which provides UK scientifically backed, high-end skincare products emphasised in a statement that personalised, expert guidance represents ‘a valuable differentiator’ in a saturated skin-care market.

According to research company ReportLinker, the online dermatology consultation market is expected to reach $6.51 billion in 2027, at a compound annual growth rate of 15.6 per cent.

Estée Lauder, Shiseido and Revieve all previously launched virtual skin-care consultations to adapt to digital demand during the pandemic.

Ekaterina Royzen, vice president of -e-commerce and digital services for L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, described the initiative as a customer-driven move.

“We recognised a growing need for accessible expert guidance, and this service offers personalised support directly from top medical aesthetic professionals,” continued Royzen.

She added that the service will be marketed across social channels and emails, with prominent placement on the SkinCeuticals website.
