Morrisons expands Just Eat partnership to 380 supermarkets nationwide

Morrisons has significantly broadened its collaboration with Just Eat, extending on-demand grocery delivery services to 380 of its supermarkets across the UK.

This expansion builds upon the pair's existing partnership, which began in 2022 with deliveries from Morrisons cafés and later included nearly 700 Morrisons Daily convenience stores.

The enhanced service will offer customers access to thousands of products, ranging from everyday essentials to fresh Market Street favourites, all available for delivery through the Just Eat app and website. In a move to demonstrate value and convenience, Just Eat is providing free delivery on all Morrisons grocery orders over £15 until the end of 2024.

Charlotte Exell, online operations director at Morrisons, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded partnership, stating, "We are excited to introduce another fast and convenient option for our customers to get Morrisons groceries delivered straight to their door. We're committed to offering great value and high quality products to our customers however they choose to shop."

This development aligns with Just Eat's mission to cater to various customer needs, from late-night grocery runs to last-minute gift purchases. The company's retail and grocery offering now covers over 78 per cent of UK postcodes, reflecting a growing demand for on-demand grocery services.

Amy Heather, director of strategic accounts at Just Eat UK, highlighted the increasing appetite for such services, noting that over a million customers purchased groceries via Just Eat last year alone.

She said: "We're seeing a huge appetite for on-demand grocery from consumers, with over a million customers having purchased groceries via Just Eat last year alone. As our customers increasingly seek convenience, extending our partnership with Morrisons signals this significant growing demand and our commitment to providing choice and value to consumers so that they can get whatever they need, wherever and whenever they need it."
