Morrisons poaches trading director from Asda

Morrisons has appointed Emma Pacey as new trading director for general merchandise.

She joins the firm from Asda, where she spent over 18 years working in a variety of senior roles including senior director e-commerce transformation and online trading director.

Prior to joining Asda, Pacey worked as a buyer for the Original Factory Shop.
“She combines deep commercial know-how with a real passion for delivering for customers, and we’re excited to have her on board as we continue to build momentum across the business,” Morrisons said in a statement on LinkedIn.

Last month Asda named Rachel Eyre, former marketing director at Morrisons, as its new chief customer officer.

She succeeds David Hills, who stepped down in March after 18 months in the role.
Eyre previously served as chief customer and marketing officer at Morrisons, where she led the supermarket’s customer service, brand strategy, marketing, digital operations, and PR activities.
