New Look to expand online footprint with new tech partnership

New Look is “refreshing” its e-commerce offering with a new technology partnership.

The fashion brand has teamed up with commercetools as part of its strategy to expand its digital footprint and move away from its primarily brick and mortar offering.

“I am delighted we have found a technology partner that ticks all the right boxes for us – experience transforming commerce for well-known enterprise brands as well as the flexibility, scalability and modularity of their technology itself,” said Ed Alford, chief technology officer, New Look. “I am pleased to say we have already started working together to progress our vision to transform the way we serve and delight our customers – all 1.1 million of them each week.”

The company is using the new tech to improve the transactional element of the online shopping experience, updating order capture, the checkout journey and cart functionality and pricing.

There will be a phasing out of the existing system over the next 12 months, leading to the commercetools technology providing the eCommerce platform for all transactions.
