Ocado appoints new chair

Ocado Group has announced the appointment of Adam Warby as an independent non-executive chair of the board.

Warby has extensive experience in the technology sector and has served as chair at a range of international companies. He currently serves as chair of Heidrick & Struggles International Inc., a provider of global leadership advisory and on-demand talent solutions listed on NASDAQ.

Previously Warby served as chair of SoftwareOne Holding AG, a Swiss enterprise software and cloud advice firm and as non-executive director at FinTech provider SimCorp A/S.

Warby joined Avanade Corporation, a global IT consulting and services company, as a founding member in 2000 and served as their chief executive for 11 years. He started his career in consulting and held management role at Microsoft and IBM

He will serve as an independent non-executive director from 1 November 2024 and will assume the role of independent non-executive chair on 1 December 2024.

Following this transition period, current chair Richard Haythornthwaite will step down as chair and from the board.

On joining the board, Warby will also become a member of the People Committee.
