Payments Awards shortlist announced

The shortlisted entries for this year’s Payments Awards have been officially announced.

Now in their 6th year, the awards recognise card and payments excellence and innovation. Winning entries will come from those companies, individuals and organisations who have launched and/or implemented the most outstanding payments solutions, initiatives and projects during the past year.

The ceremony will take place on 14 November at the London Marriot Hotel in Grosvenor Square, hosted by comedian Imran Yusuf and sponsored by Wirecard and Thistle Initiatives.

Judges with the difficult task of choosing winners among the 24 categories include: Paul Bartholomew-Keen, consumer champion at the Open Banking Authority; Simon Burrows, director at Payments FinTech; Tim Decker, head of payment product development at Lloyds Banking Group; Matthew Hunt, chief operating officer at the New Payment System Operator; Mark McMurtrie, director at Payments Consultancy; Ramki Sankaranarayan, managing director of digital channels and adoption at Barclays; and Jürgen Wagner, head of payments at KPMG.

Poundland significantly reduces antisocial behaviour, aggression and shoplifting with Motorola Solutions VT100 body cameras
Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
