Amazon is postponing plans to stop accepting Visa credit cards for UK payments, which had been due to take effect this week.
The e-commerce giant had previously informed customers that they would not be able to pay with Visa credit cards from 19 January owing to “high fees Visa charges for processing credit card transactions.”
However, in an email to customers this morning, the online retailer said that it was “working closely with Visa on a potential solution” and that cards would continue to work as normal.
“Should we make any changes related to Visa credit cards, we will give you advance notice. Until then, you can continue to use Visa credit cards, debit cards, Mastercard, American Express, and Eurocard, as you do today," the email added.
